Bookkeeper​/Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a temp-to-hire Bookkeeper/Accountant for our client, an insurance company. The position is in Greenway Plaza area/Central Houston. This position will be a hybrid position after the training period, and then you will work in office 3 days a week and can work remotely 2 days a week! They are looking to interview and have someone start ASAP.

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank and account reconciliation
• Month-end close
• Journal entries
• Miscellaneous accounting duties

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting + 2 years of experience OR 5+ years of full‑cycle bookkeeping experience in lieu of degree
• Advanced Excel skills required (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas)
