Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

UHY Resource Solutions is seeking a Controller responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, while supporting the firm's leadership with financial insights to drive informed business decisions. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a mid-sized, fast paced professional environment where accuracy, discretion, and initiative are highly valued.

This firm has an international presence so previous experience working in a similar environment is a plus.

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple entities under an LLC structure.
• Record and track member capital accounts, contributions, and distributions in accordance with partnership agreements.
• Monitor and book both revenue recognition and expense accruals.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
• Support the Director of Finance in coordinating annual tax filings with external accountants.
• Assist with annual audits as they arise.
• Help prepare property and sales tax annual filings.
• Assist in the continued development and maintenance of internal controls and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 10+ years of accounting experience (accrual-based accounting is a requirement).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Query Design, data analysis)
• Proficient in accounting systems such as Quick Books Desktop/Online, Net Suite, Sage, or similar.
• International Accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and partnership/LLC accounting principles.
• Knowledge of project accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments and with international clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
