Job Title: Property Accountant

About the Role:
We have partnered with a a forward-thinking investment and development management company dedicated to creating value through innovative real estate projects. We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join their team and support their growing portfolio.

Property Accountant - Daily/Weekly Responsibilities:

• Maintain tenant lease sub-ledgers in MRI Software.
• Review, code, and post A/P invoices.
• Verify and post tenant cash receipts.
• Invoice miscellaneous charges and bill backs to tenants.
• Assist the Property Manager and VP of Retail Assets with special projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Property Accountant - Monthly Responsibilities:

• Generate recurring monthly charges for tenant leases.
• Maintain General Ledger for assigned portfolio.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Review and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Book monthly accruals (e.g., utilities, security).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of property or real estate accounting experience.
• Proficiency in MRI Software or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
