Job Title: Property Accountant
About the Role:
We have partnered with a a forward-thinking investment and development management company dedicated to creating value through innovative real estate projects. We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join their team and support their growing portfolio.
Property Accountant - Daily/Weekly Responsibilities:
- Maintain tenant lease sub-ledgers in MRI Software.
- Review, code, and post A/P invoices.
- Verify and post tenant cash receipts.
- Invoice miscellaneous charges and bill backs to tenants.
- Assist the Property Manager and VP of Retail Assets with special projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Property Accountant - Monthly Responsibilities:
- Generate recurring monthly charges for tenant leases.
- Maintain General Ledger for assigned portfolio.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Review and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Book monthly accruals (e.g., utilities, security).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of property or real estate accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MRI Software or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
