Accounting Manager – Global Lease Accounting

Key Responsibilities
- Review lease abstracts for new leases and amendments in accordance with global standard operating procedures
- Interpret lease agreements and assess appropriate accounting treatment for key provisions and clauses
- Evaluate complex lease accounting matters (modifications, unusual scenarios) with Controller partnership
- Review straight-line rent schedules and percentage rent calculations
- Oversee annual operating expense reconciliations and tenant billing accuracy
- Support rent commencement letter preparation across multiple product types
- Address tenant inquiries, support tenant audits, and maintain supporting documentation
- Guide and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants; step in during high-volume periods as needed
- Assist with ad hoc reporting schedules and ensure compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience
- Commercial real estate experience strongly preferred
- Prior supervisory or lead experience required
- Strong knowledge and application of GAAP
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage high volume and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
