Accounting Intern

Join The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) as an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience with a premier national developer of multi-family and student housing. Based at our Houston headquarters, you will contribute to our mission of creating the best places to live.

Essential Duties:

§ Accounts Payable:
Assist with Accounts Payable related tasks, including bill workflow processing and vendor set up.

§ Cash Management:
Assist with bank reconciliations.

§ Full-Cycle Accounting:
Assist with monthly accounting tasks, including preparation and recording of journal entries.

§ Month-End Close:
Assist in the closing process as needed, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.

Education Requirements:

§ Academic Background: Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

§ Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

§ Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees.

§ Core Traits: High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and a desire to learn withing a fast-paced environment.
