Staff Accountant

Overview

We’re partnering with an organization in Northwest Houston that is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close process. This role works closely with senior finance leadership and plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account analysis
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (bank, credit card, prepaid, accruals, etc.)
• Record depreciation, revenue, and expense accruals
• Assist with intercompany transactions and inventory-related accounting
• Review employee timesheets and expense reports for accuracy and compliance
• Partner with leadership on ad hoc reporting and special projects
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes and efficiencies within accounting operations

• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience working in an ERP system (Net Suite strongly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Adaptable, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on a broad scope
