Job Description Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the firm’s tax compliance, advisory, and select attestation engagements. This role is ideal for an early-career accountant seeking broad exposure to public accounting with a strong emphasis on taxation, client service, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Advisory Support- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
- Assist with tax planning, projections, and advisory projects under the direction of senior staff and partners
- Research tax issues and document conclusions using authoritative sources
- Prepare work papers and maintain organized tax files in accordance with firm standards
- Assist with compilation, review, and audit engagements, as applicable
- Prepare and organize audit work papers and supporting documentation
- Assist with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Support valuation engagements by gathering financial data and assisting with analysis
- Prepare schedules and documentation used in valuation and litigation support projects
