TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading global chemical manufacturing companies on their search for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT
. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of general ledger / full cycle accounting experience within manufacturing, heavy industrial, offshore or production environment. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any related field is required as well as bilingual in English and Spanish.
This role is Temporary to Permanent and will convert to full time after 3 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS- Perform full-cycle accounting, monthly / quarterly closing processes.
- Accounts payable and vendor management.
- Gather, verify, and organize financial data from internal systems to support reporting accuracy.
- Ensure completeness of transactions through reconciliation of key accounts (cash, prepaid, accruals, payables, receivables, fixed assets)
- Perform adjusting and closing entries, including accruals, amortization, and payroll/expense entries.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, risk procedures, and reporting guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines for external reporting.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve accounting or process issues.
- Assist with annual insurance renewals and coordination of related documentation.
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules as well as accurate records for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of fixed asset subledger to general ledger.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and interpret performance drivers to support decision‑making.
- Prepare variance analyses comparing actuals to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
- Manage assigned balance sheet general ledger accounts and prepare related lead sheets.
- Provide support for sales tax, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Must have a degree in Accounting, Business Administration or any related field.
- Assist with internal control evaluations and implementation of process improvements.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a MUST as this role will manage the accounting functions for locations in Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina.
- 4 years of General Ledger experience plus extensive knowledge of accruals, fixed assets, deferrals and all other bookkeeping functions.
Note that this role is Temporary to Permanent (convert to full time after a 90-day period).
