Accounting Manager

Job Description

UHY Resource Solutions is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and effective internal controls. This role manages the monthly close process, supervises accounting staff, and partners cross-functionally to support business decision-making.

• Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; review work for accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests and deliverables
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A
• Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, tax, payroll, and operations
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools a plus
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
