Controller - North Houston (Multi-Site Environment)

A growing North Houston company with an outstanding culture is seeking a highly visible Controller to join its leadership team. This organization operates in a multi-site environment and reports to a large parent company, offering strong exposure to senior leadership and significant opportunity for professional growth.

Position Overview

The Controller will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidations across multiple locations. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, technical accounting expertise, and exceptional presentation and communication skills.

A strong preference is given to candidates with prior or current public accounting experience and professional certification such as a CPA license.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage accounting operations within a multi-site environment, including consolidations

+ Supervise and mentor accounting staff

+ Participate in daily accounting activities and the month-end close process

+ Prepare and analyze internal financial reports for leadership and parent company reporting

+ Perform heavy financial reporting using ERP systems and advanced Excel functionality

+ Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data

+ Support process improvements and operational efficiencies across accounting functions

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ CPA license or similar professional certification strongly preferred

+ Prior or current public accounting experience strongly preferred

+ Experience in multi-site accounting environments and consolidations

+ Strong ERP reporting experience and advanced Excel skills

+ Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership abilities
