General Accountant - Energy Industry

LHH is currently recruiting a General Accountant with commodity or operational accounting experience in the Energy industry.

This position will perform daily accounting and month-end close duties.

Job responsibilities include:

• Assist with month-end close processing including preparation of monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including bank account reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed assets depreciation and amortization scheduled, and lease schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, and the consolidated reporting packages.
• Perform monthly accounting for commodity inventory bookings, monitoring sales, purchase and transportation bookings and associated tie out.

Qualifications include:

• 3+ years of general accounting experience in the energy industry, specifically with commodity operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics, SAP Concur, and energy trading and risk management systems a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
