Overview
Consolidated Asset Management Services is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant with 2+ years of experience in general accounting to support our Sr. Accountant in managing accounting functions and reporting for three gas power plants. This role will assist with core accounting tasks and ensure timely, accurate financial processes during a short-term engagement.
Responsibilities- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly recurring journal entries
- Update cash account roll forward schedules
- Review AP invoice batches
- Monitor AR aging reports
- Prepare wire transfer requests
- File sales and use tax returns
- Complete simple ad-hoc requests and research as needed
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and AP/AR processes
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Commitment to 3 months of service
