We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in the Energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial matters, including month-end close, journal entries, financial statements, and revenue recognition. This position will be HYBRID, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work.
Responsibilities- Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries as part of the accounting cycle.
- Creating and analyzing financial statements, providing insights on financial health and performance.
- Implementing revenue recognition practices in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Utilizing One Stream, Net Suite, and Workiva for financial planning, reporting, and data management.
- Helping to integrate new acquisitions.
- Collaborating with other team members on financial audits, compliance checks, and other accounting projects.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and regulations in the alternative energy sector.
- Serving as a key contributor to the company's financial strategy and long-term financial planning.
- CPA certification is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy or alternative energy industry.
- Prior experience with Big 4 accounting firms is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in One Stream, Net Suite, and Workiva software or similar ERP/Systems
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
