Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with property accounting support related to property tax
- Review and validate property tax returns for accuracy and completeness
- Support the preparation and review of 500+ property tax filings between January and April
- Perform extensive account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with tax records
- Review and analyze property tax register schedules and compare them to filed property tax returns
- Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues timely
- Ensure compliance with applicable property tax regulations and internal controls
- Strong working knowledge of property tax accounting
- Prior experience reviewing and supporting property tax returns
- Proven experience handling high-volume reconciliations
- Understanding of various property tax register schedules and how they tie to tax filings
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines during peak filing season
