Senior Tax Accountant

We’re seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting team and play a key role in supporting both direct and indirect tax activities across more than 350 state and local jurisdictions
. This position offers hands‑on exposure to a broad range of tax areas and the opportunity to work closely with the business on complex, multi‑state tax matters.

• Prepare, review, and file monthly state and local tax returns and reports, ensuring timely and accurate compliance
• Support partnership federal and multi‑state tax returns, K‑1s, and quarterly estimate processes
• Research tax issues and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
• Prepare tax payments, wire transfers, and check requests
• Assist with audits, refund claims, exemption certificates, business licenses, and tax registrations
• Perform tax account reconciliations to support accurate financial statements
• Collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute ideas to improve tax processes and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (tax credentials a plus)
• 1–4 years of tax experience; energy or natural gas industry experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP and tax software (or ability to learn quickly)
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Self‑starter who can manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
