Accounts Payable Accountant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with strong attention to detail to manage full-cycle accounts payable processes while ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities:

- Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, reconciliation, and payment processing.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Perform check runs and ensure payments are correctly issued to vendors.

- Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices and payments.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis to support financial operations.

- Ensure all accounts payable transactions comply with company policies and procedures.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address any payment-related queries.

- Support month-end and year-end closing processes as required. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

- Proficiency in full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and reconciliation.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve account discrepancies.

- Familiarity with check runs and payment processing procedures.

- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

- Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas, five days a week.

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and team members.
