Staff/Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting

Role Overview :

Join a high-impact technical accounting team where you'll apply U.S. GAAP to complex transactions and help interpret new accounting standards for a dynamic energy company.

Key Responsibilities:

+  Act as a subject matter expert on complex accounting issues

+  Draft technical accounting memos for transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, derivatives, impairment)

+  Evaluate contracts for lease accounting and embedded derivatives

+  Monitor U.S. standard-setters and implement new guidance

+ ️ Support stand-alone entities including not-for-profit and FERC-regulated groups

+  Assist with SEC filings and related disclosures

+  Provide documentation for internal and external audits

+  Adapt to evolving business needs with flexibility and initiative

Qualifications & Skills:

+ ✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

+  

Experience with accounting research and technical memos

+  Familiarity with SEC reporting (preferred)

+  Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

+  Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities

+ ️ Excellent communication and collaboration skills

+  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

+  Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning

+  Open-mindedness and willingness to consider alternative perspectives

+  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

+ Public Accounting

+ CPA or parts passed
