Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This position requires a proactive individual with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting entries.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are precise and up-to-date.

- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring consistency with accounting standards.

- Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

- Perform bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.

- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve reporting accuracy.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all financial operations.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting practices and reporting procedures. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail and precision.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

- Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

- Experience with bank reconciliation processes.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
