Company Overview

Our client is a privately held, fast-growing professional services firm expanding nationwide. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team in Downtown Houston.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger entries, and financial statement preparation.

- Support month-end close and ensure accurate, timely reporting.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain reliable financial records.

- Assist with fixed asset tracking and reconciliation.

- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Utilize Excel to analyze data and streamline processes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

- 1+ year of general accounting experience out of a corporate environment (experience with fixed assets, reconciliations, and journal entries preferred).

- Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas and functions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

- One year of experience in general accounting within a corporate setting, with exposure to fixed assets, reconciliations, and journal entries preferred.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate within a team environment.
