Financial Controller

Our client in West Houston is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and stabilize its accounting function. This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role for a Controller who thrives in fast‑paced environments, takes full ownership of outcomes, and brings both technical strength and leadership presence.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to run the day‑to‑day accounting operation end to end and build accountability within the team.

• Own and lead all day‑to‑day accounting operations in a high‑volume, transactional environment
• Oversee and improve the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting across multiple entities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and expense allocation efforts
• Partner closely with Operations leadership
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure financial integrity
• Serve as the primary point of contact for banks, vendors, and external stakeholders
• Coach, develop, and hold accountable a lean AR/AP and accounting team
• Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies without constant oversight

• Proven Controller experience in a multi‑entity and multi‑state environment
• Hands‑on leader with the ability to balance execution and leadership
• Strong communicator who can lead teams, address performance issues, and partner cross‑functionally
• Comfortable operating in a high‑volume environment
• Brings Manufacturing, Logistics or relevant industry background
• Naturally proactive, decisive, and accountable

• Net Suite ERP experience strongly preferred
• Experience with consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
