About the Role

The Tax Senior will be a key contributor to the firm’s expanding tax practice, managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional who is eager to take on leadership responsibilities and grow within a supportive, people-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead tax engagements in collaboration with managers and partners, including scheduling, staffing, and overseeing completion of returns.
  • Provide the first level of technical review for tax returns and research complex technical issues.
  • Manage internal and client deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact to proactively address questions, gather information, and identify planning opportunities.
  • Prepare and review quarterly estimates and year-end projections.
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Tax Associates and Interns, ensuring proper prioritization and completion of assignments.
  • Act as a Project Manager to oversee workflow and team performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license preferred; CPA eligibility required and active pursuit of licensure is expected.
  • 2–3+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • Proficiency in partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual taxation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to perform technical tax research, summarize findings, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated skills in coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Commitment to community involvement and giving back.
