AccountantJob Description
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations. We require a candidate with a strong background in accounting principles, extensive experience with the Yardi software platform, and a proven track record in accounts receivable management.
Responsibilities- Full‑Cycle Accounting:
Manage the general ledger, AP/AR, and perform month‑end and year‑end closings. - Payroll & Billing Management:
Oversee the complex, high‑volume weekly payroll for a diverse workforce of contractors and handle precise client invoicing based on varying contract terms. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis directly to company ownership. - Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor the administrative staff, ensuring office operations run smoothly and internal controls are strictly followed. - Process Optimization:
Audit current financial workflows and implement more efficient software or procedural updates to support company scaling.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. - Experience:
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience within the Retail industries is highly preferred. - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead a small team or manage significant departmental projects. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (specifically for data analysis and financial modeling). - Location:
Ability to work 100% on‑site in Houston.
