Audit Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Audit Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to demonstrate their expertise in the nonprofit and construction sectors, external audit procedures, and certified public accounting (CPA).

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit engagements, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review audit work papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
• Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior management and clients.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline audit processes and enhance overall service delivery.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in regulations, ensuring our practices remain compliant and up-to-date.
• Participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the growth and success of our firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audits in the nonprofit and construction sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of external audit procedures and regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex audit issues.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
