Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Downtown (Onsite, Monday – Friday)

Position Summary:

This role is ideal for candidates coming from Big 4 accounting firms or larger organizations with hands‑on experience in account and bank reconciliations, deposits, financial statement preparation, GAAP, and general ledger accounting. Staff Accountants have significant opportunities for career growth and advancement within the organization.

• Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing data from the general ledger and various departments.
• Maintain and balance automated consolidation systems, including inputting data, scheduling processes, and verifying accuracy.
• Analyze financial information and develop reports using spreadsheets; verify data for accuracy.
• Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records, and reconcile accounts.
• Manage payments, accrue expenses, assign account numbers, request disbursements, and reconcile accounts.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by reviewing current practices and recommending improvements.
• Respond to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting relevant data.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through financial review, data conversion, and preparation of supplemental information for financial statements.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial information and protect organizational value.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned to support the finance team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger systems and consolidation accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
