Job DescriptionThis position will support the U.S Operations and Corporate Accounting groups with daily, monthly and quarterly controllership and reporting responsibilities. The position will support various audits within Helix, including parent company audit, subsidiary audits and bank audits.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities- Assist the Accounting Managers on preparing monthly financial statements for certain business unit operations
- Perform bank reconciliations and interest accruals for corporate cash accounts and borrowing arrangements
- Support quarterly SEC reporting process / tie-outs
- Support annual CSR reporting
- ABL – Prepare quarterly Borrowing Base submission and ABL availability forecasting, coordinate annual ABL field audit
- Prepare monthly / quarterly management KPI report on vessel/ asset utilization and profitability
- Maintain insurance accounts, including pre-paid amortization, workers comp. loss-run report, allocations to business units
- Support Treasury Cash Manager with daily cash reporting and periodic cash forecasts as needed
- Special projects as needed
- Complete other duties and/or projects required and assigned by management
Education / Training: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
Experience: minimum 5-7 years of accounting background, former audit experience is a plus.
Skills: Microsoft Suite, Oracle HRIS, understanding of U.S. GAAP (emphasis on ASC 606).
