Position Overview :

A General Accountant is a professional responsible for performing various financial and accounting tasks within an organization. The role typically involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with the role:

Responsibilities:

• Recording financial transactions for various general accounting matters (Payroll, Expense reporting, property tax and various misc accruals), maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards
• Conducting regular reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
  • Assist in reconciling intercompany accounts across ATA’s Affiliates to ensure that the transactions and balances are consistent and accurate across all entities involved as well as collaborating counterparts in other subsidiaries or departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to intercompany transactions
  • Assisting in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial processes
  • Addressing and resolving various issues or discrepancies that may arise
    
    Experience and Qualifications Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA certification is preferred.
    • 3-5 years of experience in accounting and management reporting .
    • Have a working knowledge of SAP. Working knowledge of Right Angle is a plus but not required.
    • Proficient at using Excel, Power Point, and Word.
    • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial in ensuring financial records are precise.
    • Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication skills to convey financial information to various stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
