Job Description- Work closely with the Executive Chef team to ensure that consistent quality products are produced following all DO & CO standards, designing, developing, and presenting new menu designs as per the customers’ needs in Chinese cuisine.
- Day‑to‑day managing and supporting the kitchen team.
- Instill a culture of job pride and ownership and motivate the team to adapt to stressful situations and handle any emergencies or last‑minute changes to production.
- Plan production to the daily schedule and ensure the exceptional DO & CO quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO & CO regulations as set by the Quality Assurance team.
- Establish production of Chinese cuisine recipes that align with the set pricing structure and customer budget while controlling food costs.
- Ensure operations adhere to all SOPs and all relevant Critical Control Points, Health and Safety, Food safety and all legal requirements.
- Constantly perform quality control checks to ensure specifications are met on raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain good working relationships with all DO & CO family members, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Passion for cooking authentic Chinese cuisine.
- Previous experience as a Specialist Chinese Chef.
- Passion for food and working with fresh and high‑quality ingredients. An excellent leader with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Well‑presented, professional individual with a can‑do, positive attitude that indulges in team success.
- Ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies to gain optimal results.
- Clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and ability to keep the team well informed using a variety of methods.
- Previous experience in a similar role, or a high‑end fresh food industry related sector.
