The Pest Control Officer WCR 2 plays a crucial role in maintaining public health and safety by managing pest populations in both residential and commercial settings. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting properties, identifying pest infestations, and implementing effective control measures. As a Pest Control Officer, you will not only apply chemical and non-chemical methods to eradicate pests but also provide education to the public on preventive measures and safe practices. The position involves significant interaction with community members, necessitating strong communication skills and a customer‑oriented approach. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high‑quality pest management services that protect the health and well‑being of the community.

• Inspect properties for signs of pest activity and identify the type of pests present.
• Develop treatment plans and implement pest control measures in accordance with best practices and safety standards.
• Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and safe practices to minimize future infestations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and follow‑ups to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Operate and maintain pest control equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Analyze pest control product effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to enhance pest control strategies and community education efforts.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in pest control preferred.
• Previous experience in pest control or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of local pest species, their habits, and control measures is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel to various job sites.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting equipment and working in various environmental conditions.

Pay Per Hour: £22.83
