About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving school in Westminster. You will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of learning, emotional, or behavioural needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Help maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
  • Prepare and organise learning resources to meet students’ needs.
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Support students’ social and emotional development.
  • Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and school trips.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting all students.
  • Must have a valid DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
