Take the next step in your aviation career with a leading helicopter operator supporting the offshore oil and gas industry. We are seeking experienced VFR Helicopter Captains to join our client’s team on a 14-on / 14-off rotation
, based in Houma, Louisiana
.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the safe and efficient transportation of personnel to offshore facilities throughout the Gulf of Mexico. This position is ideal for professional pilots who are safety-driven, customer-focused, and thrive in dynamic operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate assigned aircraft in full compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and exceptional customer service in all aspects of operations.
- Monitor and maintain situational awareness regarding weather conditions, NOTAMs, and offshore facility status.
- Oversee passenger handling and aircraft movements to ensure compliance and operational safety.
- Conduct comprehensive flight planning, preflight inspections, and manage manifesting requirements.
- Accurately complete electronic and paper documentation, including journey logs and technical records.
- Promptly report mechanical discrepancies and ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.
- Remain available for temporary assignments at other Gulf of Mexico locations as needed.
- Stay current with all operational procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Pilot or Operations Manager.
- Valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Helicopter Instrument Rating.
- Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time in helicopters.
- At least 100 helicopter flight hours within the past 12 months.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening questionnaire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and workload management abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Minimum one year of offshore oil and gas flight experience.
- ATP Certification.
- 200 offshore flight hours (or 100 hours with at least 50 within the last 12 months).
- 25 hours in the A119 aircraft.
