Key Requirements:
- We seek experienced steel plate welders (structural/fabrication background preferred) to travel to Houma, LA!
- The Steel Plate Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating steel plates and structural components used in marine vessels, cargo handling equipment, and shipyard infrastructure
- Must pass 3G and 6G welding tests
- Must have proficiency with welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) as applicable
- Must have knowledge of welding codes and standards applicable to steel plates
- Must have good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Must have a strong safety mindset and adherence to PPE requirements
- Must have the ability to read and interpret welding drawings and procedures
- Per diem, transportation, and housing are available
- Must be okay with a background check and screen
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Long-term position (2 years)
