Material Specialist

Job Title: Material Specialist

Location: Houma, LA

Bollinger is seeking a Material Specialist to locate and move materials and parts from warehouse to storage areas and between work areas of the facility.

• Reviews production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required materials
• Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and the condition of the materials
• Will load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks, either internal or external.
• Will receive, uncrate, and inspect materials received at the Warehouse
• Performs physical inventory counts and enter counts in inventory management software
• Locates and moves materials distributed and on hand
• Compares work ticket specifications with material prior to loading truck at warehouse

• Six (6) months' experience in a similar role preferred
• Forklift certification required
• A valid driver's license is required
• Must be familiar with measuring devices and have basic computer skills

• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Overhead crane experience preferred
