NC Plate Burner Operator - Houma, LA

Main Purpose

To nest parts to be cut by the Burning Machines, And to Coordinate Burning activities in the Plate Shop.

• Nesting Piece Marked Plates form the Lofting Department
• Make sure that all parts are cut from the correct material.
• Make sure that all piece markings are on the corresponding pieces when cut.
• Make sure that daily maintenance records are kept on all NC Burning Machines.
• Make sure that all maintenance is completed on all NC Burning Machines Daily.
• Keeps records of plate inventors.
• Performs Overhead Crane inspections in the Plate Shop.
• Make sure that all cut parts are distributed to the correct job site.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of Cutting Machines and Computer Knowledge

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
