Project Manager - Inland Construction

Primary Function

Project Manager is responsible for the management of assigned projects, including project work scope and technical development, estimating, resource and schedule with submittal to Project Controls group, material requirement for procurement data sheets, execution and construction oversight to project completion.

• Develop and execute project plans, work packs, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in accordance with internal PMO guidelines.
• Create and manage project schedules, forecast, and resources. This includes the management of all equipment needed to execute the project, company, and rental.
• Lead and oversee identify project support teams, including subcontractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with operations and project control team to ensure project specifications and drawings are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor, forecast, and report on progress and financials on a daily and/or weekly basis to clients and internal stakeholders. This includes identifying and resolving issues that may impact overall success of the project.
• On Internal Project forecasts, ensure all project cost are accurately reconciled on a weekly basis, along with ensuring all remaining project cost is forecasted accurately until the completion of the project.
• Manage project change orders and variations from conception to close out.
• Determine and assist the project control team on developing and tracking established productivity rates.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standard, along with fostering a culture of best practices on construction sites.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete and organized.
• As needed, ensure adequate on-site management/oversite on designated projects to verify and monitor accurate field reporting, as well as productions rates are being met or exceed.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and external partners, providing exceptional customer service.
• Perform project close outs and lessons learn internally and externally.
• Ensure all company owned equipment is being utilized before acquiring rental equipment.

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or business-related fields, or equivalent, relevant experience

• A minimum of five (5) years experience in project management related field and/or Project Coordinator

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Project experience in the oil and gas industry
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Projects

• Self-motivated, possess interpersonal skills to maintain a good working and ethical relationship with vendors, customers, strategic industry partners, and the MORRISON Business Unit Managers
• Ability to operate under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines independently
• Must possess the ability to speak to groups of people and demonstrate negotiating skills
• Ability to effectively work with Microsoft Office applications and learn MORRISON specific software applications
