Position
Description:
The Pre-Registration Specialist performs outpatient and inpatient registration and insurance verification functions. This position provides general information to hospital users, patients, families and physician offices while ensuring that patients meet financial requirements. The Pre-Registration Specialist provides excellent patient-focused customer service, as well as, communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare or customer service setting is preferred with a work record that demonstrates:
Clear, effective communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, detail orientation.
3. Basic computer literacy is required.
4.
Experience with Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and databases is preferred.
