Physicians Group Laboratories (PGL) and Providers Choice Lab (PCL) are full-service diagnostic laboratories committed to accuracy, efficiency, and client service. We are seeking aRevenue Cycle Insurance Payment Posterto join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This role is responsible for accurately posting insurance payments, adjustments, and denials intoCollaborate MD, ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts, and supporting overall revenue integrity.
This is acritical on-site positionand requires the individual to be located in or willing to commute daily to theHouma or Thibodaux, Louisiana area.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately post insurance payments, contractual adjustments, and denials intoCollaborate MD.
Balance daily deposits and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), and payment batches.
Review and interpret payer remittances, ensuring proper application of payments to patient accounts.
Identify, research, and escalate underpayments, misapplied payments, or payer discrepancies.
Work closely with the RCM team to ensure payments are allocated correctly and accounts are up to date.
Maintain payment posting turnaround time within department standards.
Assist with denial tracking and reporting to improve first-pass claim acceptance and reduce future write-offs.
Communicate effectively with the billing, A/R, and customer service teams regarding payment trends and payer issues.
Support month-end reconciliation processes and provide payment posting reports as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer regulations, and company policies.
QualificationsRequired:
Minimum 2 years of experience inmedical billing/payment posting, preferably in a diagnostic laboratory or physician billing environment.
Proficiency withCollaborate MDor other major billing platforms.
Strong knowledge of insurance EOBs/ERAs, contractual adjustments, and denial codes.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with HIPAA and compliance requirements.
Preferred:
Experience working in a laboratory or multi-specialty healthcare environment.
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and payer reimbursement methodologies.
Previous experience collaborating with A/R follow-up teams.
Work Location & ScheduleOn-site only.Must be based inHouma or Thibodaux, Louisiana.
Full-time position, Monday – Friday.
