** Job Summary
**** Position Overview
** Conoco Phillips owns more than 600,000 acres of coastal property in southeast Louisiana. As a
** Coastal Wetlands Field Technician**, you will help steward these lands by supporting responsible management, environmental protection, and safe field operations. This role works closely with internal teams, local partners, and regulatory agencies. Most work is performed outdoors—often vessel‑based—with some tasks completed in the Houma office.
** Your responsibilities may include:**
* ** Monitoring and surveilling permitted activities on company owned lands
** such as campsites, commercial and recreational use areas, restoration sites, and pipeline work. Document site conditions and work with team members to ensure required upkeep and decommissioning activities are met
* ** Support surveys work
** by assisting with marking coordinates and posting land boundary signs to maintain accurate property identification
* ** Assist environmental coordination
** by documenting third‑party spill locations, observing facility or structure decommissioning, and supporting communication with relevant agencies including the U.S. Coast Guard, Louisiana Department of Energy & Natural Resources, and the Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator’s Office, along with third‑party oil and gas operators
* ** Contribute to emergency preparedness
** by working with Coastal Wetlands leadership and the Facilities & Safety Lead to support readiness plans, drills, and procedures for the Houma Office
* ** Understand coastal use permits
** and provide the information needed for timely, accurate submissions to applicable regulatory agencies
* ** Support daily office operations
** by helping maintain supplies, preparing meeting spaces, and assisting with routine documents so that field and office activities run efficiently

** Basic Requirements
*** Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Valid state driver’s license
* Beginner proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
* 3 or more years of relevant field or marsh experience (examples include surveying, pipeline or electric line inspection, oil and gas field work, or natural resource/game enforcement)
* Ability to connect, tow, and reverse trailers safely
* Ability to operate vessels up to 30 feet in length
* Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform physical tasks such as crouching, standing for long periods, and lifting/pushing/pulling items over 50 lbs.
