HSE Manager; Chemical

Overview

HSE Manager (Chemical) – £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. Excellent training, holidays, enhanced pension, and a great benefits package.

Location:

Houghton Le Spring (commutable from Sunderland, Newcastle, Washington, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Newton Aycliffe, Billingham, Peterlee, Consett, South Shields). Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm.

We’re looking for an experienced HSE Manager with a background in Environmental Science or Chemical Engineering to lead our site’s environmental, health and safety procedures.

• Develop, implement and maintain site-wide EHS procedures and policies.
• Ensure compliance with local and UK legislation.
• Manage environmental, health and safety training and record keeping.
• Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Provide guidance to staff on compliance matters.

• Relevant degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, EHS, NEBOSH, IOSH standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel within the local commutable area.
