Teaching Assistant

Grade 3: SCP 4-6

Salary: £25,185 to £25,989 (pro rata)

Contract type:
Temporary, part‑time, term time only plus 2 weeks.

Hours:

5 mornings a week (16 hours)

Period:
Required from 20th April 2026 until 31st March 2027

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated practitioner to join our school in extending our provision to include 2‑year‑olds. The role will require you to be flexible and be able to support across the EYFS setting, according to needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience in an EYFS team, including 2‑year‑old provision, with ability to nurture, inspire and motivate Foundation Stage pupils.
  • Experience working with 2‑year‑olds.
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledge, understanding and skills to support the EYFS team and be proactive in the 2‑Year‑Old provision.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, IT and communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of statutory requirements in Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Ensures daily routines are maintained in a safe, stimulating and creative setting and helps to provide rich experiences to enable children to become effective learners.
  • Resourceful, enthusiastic and keen to ensure highest possible standards of pupil achievement, well‑being and personal development.
  • Committed to promoting the school’s inclusive values and ethos.
  • Qualified to the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and meeting staffing ratios.
  • Undergo enhanced DBS check.
Employment Details

Pay includes term‑time weeks (38), public holidays (1.6 weeks), two additional CPD weeks and annual leave based on length of service (27 or 32 days). All wages are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
