JOB SUMMARY

Performs skilled equipment operator and truck driving task.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Drives and loads a front-loading refuse collection truck along a fixed collection route.
• Observes all state and federal highway laws for safe operation of vehicle.
• Ensures that trucks are properly loaded and secured.
• Executes daily routes to commercial properties, adhering to assigned schedules.
• Inspects dumpsters upon arrival and documents any overfilled containers using onboard truck dashcam.
• Performs necessary tasks to ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
• Works closely with assigned helper to efficiently complete tasks.
• Provides support and guidance to helpers as needed.
• Inspects vehicles before, during and after operation and reports unsatisfactory conditions to a supervisor.
• Reports any issues encountered during routes, such as blocked dumpsters or other obstacles.
• Maintains cleanliness of the truck by cleaning and washing it daily.
• Refuels truck at the end of each workday to ensure readiness for the next shift.
• Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Applicant must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; and one (1) year of relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

DRUG TESTING All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing; individual in this position will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.

HOURS:

Daily 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Off Wednesday & Sunday.
