Lake Forest Senior Living at Hot Speings Village is seeking a dedicated and responsible Van Driver to join our compassionate team. In this role, you will provide safe and reliable transportation services to our residents, ensuring they reach their appointments, outings, and activities in comfort and on time. You will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents by offering a helpful and friendly experience during their trips.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, community outings, and social events.
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the van.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and driving regulations.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families about transportation schedules.
- Monitor and report any concerns regarding residents during transport.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle, reporting any necessary repairs or issues.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with mobility challenges is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to assist residents with mobility aids (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs) in and out of the van.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including potential weekends.
