Magic Springs Theme and Water Park – Arkansas’s only theme and water park – is seeking a dedicated Water Park Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work within our water park maintenance department. Reports To: Water Park Maintenance Manager
The Water Park Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the water park’s buildings, structures, and grounds. This position performs a variety of general maintenance and repair duties including carpentry, painting, plumbing, routine structure inspections. The technician also assists with pool chemistry monitoring and basic water quality adjustments under the guidance of management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on park buildings, restrooms, shade structures, fencing, decks, and other facilities.
- Complete basic carpentry, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain safe and visually appealing structures.
- Assist with minor plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
- Conduct basic pool chemistry tests and make adjustments as directed – training provided.
- Monitor water clarity and cleanliness, promptly reporting irregularities to management – training provided.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of maintenance shops, tools, and work areas.
- Conduct safety checks of facilities and promptly address hazards or repair needs.
- Support seasonal preparation and shutdown activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely and responsibly.
- Collaborate with manager to perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- 1-3 years of general maintenance, construction, or facilities repair experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the park’s operating season.

- Must be able to walk the park grounds regularly in varying weather conditions.
- Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
- Requires frequent kneeling, bending, and reaching above the shoulders.
- Requires frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Requires occasional pushing and pulling.
- Requires occasional carrying of up to 100 pounds using a two-wheel hand truck or similar assistive device.
