We are a family with strong core values, offering a unique experience for our guests and team members, and aspire to be Arkansas' Employer of Choice.The Steward is responsible for maintaining clean dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and helping prepare the kitchen for the next shift by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of kitchen and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and promote excellent customer service in line with company standards.
- Maintain confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Provide excellent guest service to all guests.
- Clean up spills, broken dishes, and remove trash and empty bottles.
- Clean dishes, trays, and silverware using hand washing or dishwashing machines.
- Follow health and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist cooks and servers as needed.
- Maintain supplies such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Clean floors and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Refill soap and paper towels.
- Clean stainless steel surfaces and equipment.
- Remove trash and maintain garbage cans.
- Stock cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Set up and clean after events in banquet kitchens.
- Maintain all kitchen equipment.
- Work at various venues as required.
- Follow Oaklawn policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Guest service experience preferred.
- Food service experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical duties required of all Steward team members.
- Ability to interact diplomatically with guests and staff, resolving conflicts tactfully.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Must qualify for licenses and permits required by regulations. Must be at least 21 years old.
