Patient Care Technician - PRN
Location: Hot Springs, AR
Pay: $15.00-$17.00
Summary: The Patient Care Technician works integral to the patient care team, handling routine administrative and clerical duties around the nursing station while maintaining a courteous and professional environment for patients, families, physicians, staff, and the public.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or RN.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including ordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas and provide general patient flow support.
- Handle administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Use a multi-line phone system and basic computer applications.
- Perform phlebotomy tasks as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in administrative support or receptionist duties preferred.
- Experience in medical terminology preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Successful completion of PCT training within the first month of employment.
- Obtaining BLS Healthcare Provider certification upon hire.
