We are seeking a detail‑oriented, focused, and dependable Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry Monitoring team. Under the supervision of an RN, this position is responsible for continual cardiac/telemetry monitoring, promptly identifying and reporting changes, and supporting safe patient care on our critical care and stepdown units. This is an excellent role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment, has strong situational awareness, and wants to play a critical behind‑the‑scenes role in patient safety.

Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring.

Reports to:

Director of Critical Care Unit/Stepdown. FLSA:
Non‑exempt.

• Perform continuous surveillance of multiple telemetry monitors.
• Identify significant arrhythmias or signs of patient distress and immediately notify nursing staff.
• Recognize and correct telemetry artifacts.
• Report abnormal telemetry findings and changes in patient condition.
• Test equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Support the unit by maintaining accuracy, awareness, and timely communication.

High School Diploma or GED required.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer.

• Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to perform effectively in a stressful clinical environment.
• Clear communicator who can elevate patient changes quickly and accurately.
