Counter Sales Person – Elliott Electric Supply
Location & CompensationHot Springs, AR | $110,000 – $200,000
Job SummaryThe Counter Sales Person is responsible for providing assistance to customers throughout the sales and purchase process and for responding to customer inquiries in a professional manner. They maintain awareness of all product information, promotions, and advertisements, market all products sold, and suggest replacement or alternative products when appropriate.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance to customers during the sales and purchase process.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain awareness of all product information, promotions, and advertisements.
- Market all products sold and suggest replacement or alternative products when appropriate.
- Operate in a safe manner as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
- Comply with the company’s pre‑employment drug test and background check requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
- Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong mathematical ability.
- Basic familiarity with the use of a personal computer.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal formats.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills, including ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
- Ability to bend, climb, push, pull, and maneuver at heights and in tight or small spaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport work‑related materials that frequently weigh up to 70 lbs., and occasionally exceed 70 lbs.
