This position involves batch compilation, sample delivery, and retrieval, plus various support activities.

• High School Diploma

Batch compilation:

• Collect and organize samples for sample preparation using production management tools.
• Compile and label tubes/vials for sample preparation.
• Transport batch delivery and pick-up from testing departments.
• Retrieve & transport specimens under COC from Processing to Lab.
• Re-stock laboratory supplies as needed.
• Monitor equipment maintenance through Temp Trak; clean and respond to alerts as needed.
• Re-locate samples/QC materials in the event a unit goes down.
• Participate in departmental meetings and projects.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Exhibit professional and effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend company procedures and apply them to work operations.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be flexible in scheduling and available for overtime as required.
• Good customer service focus and ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboard, objects, or controls.
• Requires walking from one work location to another throughout the shift.
• Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities (with correction) include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to intermittent or constant sounds generated by equipment.
• Exposure to fumes, noxious odors and dust.
• Handling of biological material and blood-borne pathogens.
• Handling of toxic or caustic chemicals.
