To plan, organize and implement a supplemental instructional program in an in-person learning environment that guides and encourages students to further develop and fulfill their academic potential. To be responsive to our students' needs, this year's Summer Academy will focus on early literacy and foundational math skills for current K-3 and K-5 multi-lingual learners.
Terms Of Employment- Report time 8:30 am every day and stay until 12:30 pm, and 30 minutes daily prep.
- 18 program days and 2 training days as determined by Supervisors.
- Possible staff training dates – June 24, 2026 and June 25, 2026.
- 4-week program:
June 29, 2026, through July 24, 2026. - Monday through Friday.
- Previous experience working as a Summer Academy Employee. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in education is required.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Must be a team player, punctual, have strong communication skills, problem-solving and leadership skills, parent-friendly, and an eagerness to learn.
- All required clearances that are within 1 year of the hiring date:
- PA Criminal Record Check
- Child Abuse Clearances
- FBI Report
- Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification
- School Personal Health Record
- PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure release
- Must be available for the entire 5-week program and available for possible training dates.
