Job Title:
Disability Play scheme Leader [Short Breaks]
Location:
Horsham, Crawley and occasionally Worthing
Appointment: 8 months Fixed-term basis, with the potential for a permanent role.
Hourly Rate: £13.23
Main purposeThis incredible role supports people aged 6 to 30 years old and offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of disabled children, young people, and their families. By delivering key services, you will enhance their physical and emotional well-being. These services include delivering sessions at one of our in-house locations, out in the local community and trips to larger attractions.

- Somebody that shares our values and passion for coordinating and delivering incredible sessions, activities and services.
- An advocate on raising awareness around disability with a go-get attitude and the energy to get stuck into our Coordinator role that prides themselves on going the extra mile and loves being part of making a difference.
- Someone who can manage their own workload, create amazing sessions and activities, and be the support for disabled children, young people and families can reach their full potential.

What we need from you- Demonstrable experience within a similar role or life experience within comparable situations is desirable.
- A recognised level 2 qualification or above in play work, childcare, education, or related field, AND equivalent relevant experience.
- Exceptional people skills and empathetic approach, particularly when facilitating and offering advice.
- Comfortable providing personal care to children and young adults, with the delicate skill of facilitating identity building whilst supporting confidence, self-esteem and dignity.
- A full driving licence and transport to be able to reliably travel to the nominated activity facilities.
