MET Technician

MET Technician – Crawley

Salary – £50,000 (£57,000 OTE);

We are currently recruiting for a fully qualified MET Technician for a reputable body shop based in Crawley. This opportunity has arisen due to the high volume of work at the site, and we are looking for a technician who wants to earn well and get involved in a busy, thriving site. Preference for ATA but not essential.

We require a MET Technician with a relevant mechanical qualification, preferably with MET ATA accreditation. Knowledge of wheel alignment is also preferable but not essential. Due to the high volume of work and the quality of vehicles, we need someone who can work at a high pace while maintaining high standards. Preferably we want someone from a body‑shop background looking for a new challenge;

however, a technician who can demonstrate the right level of expertise will be considered.

• Mechanical, electrical, trim and body work on allocated jobs, panel replacement and re‑alignment to manufacturer gapping and specification
• Vehicle diagnostics, fault clearing and fault finding; removal, refitting radiators and air‑conditioning repair and re‑gas
• Panel straightening and filling
• Suspension components replacement, repairs and wheel alignment
• ADAS calibration (training will be provided)
• Identify additional repair work and liaise with the VDA

• Fully qualified MET Vehicle Technician
• Experience working within a bodyshop is essential
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
• Experience with in the bodyshop as a MET / Vehicle Technician; city & guilds, NVQ or ATA desirable but not essential
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role is particularly desirable
